Beyond the basics, a model for quick root cause analysis and event investigation using the 5 why’s and reference to The Just Culture for appropriate response to behavior choices and focus on system re-design. Although this training was designed for the SNF audience, any healthcare leader who would like to create a more systematic and effective process for improving pressure ulcer prevention and implementing clinical best practices would benefit from this information.
This session reviewed alternative products and methods that can be used to effectively protect skin integrity, positively impact nutrition, manage heavy drainage wounds, and keep dressings in place! This session will also included a specific discussion of nutrition support as well as the value of standardizing your formulary for wound care supplies.
